Lea LaBrocca
Lea's journey with abstract art began with her love for making each moment in life meaningful and beautiful. Through water color, acrylic and mixed media, each original work of art is unique, vibrant, and painted with purpose.
Lea was grew up in Brooklyn, NY and raised her family in Staten Island, NY. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree from St. John's University, in Healthcare Administration. She went on to achieved a Master of Science Degree in School Building Leadership and worked as a Middle School Teacher until she retired. Lea currently resides in North Texas.
Lea is a Breast Cancer Survivor. She has been an advocate and a counselor for women and volunteered with the American Cancer Society as a patient navigator and keynote speaker. She also helped fundraise and set up the annual walks. She used her creative side with the "Look Good, Feel Good" program, to assist woman in finding the perfect wig after Chemotherapy. You can find her featured on NY1 NEWS, and in various publications regarding her work with Breast Cancer.
Lea began painting full time after taking classes with some of the best artists in NYC. Her work has been featured at Snug Habor Cultural Center and Botanical Gardens. Her art has also been part of exhibits at the Historic Conference House (NYC.) Currently, you can find her paintings sold at "The Painted Tree Marketplace," in Frisco, Texas.
Lea's determined mindset, genuine heart and positive spirit is truly what brings anything she creates to life. The beauty of abstract art is that it encourages an imaginative and emotional response based off an individual's perspective. Each piece Lea creates is an extension of her soul and she hopes to bring hope and light through her creative expression to all viewers.
Lea is the perfect example of gracefully over coming hardships and using the beauty of art to uplift and inspire others.
Life can be full of colorful, buoyant chapters.
